Corporate Network Groups: A Proposed Policy for Treating all Groups Equally
[ send me this essay ]
A 5 page paper based largely on Raymond Friedman’s 1999 article “The Case of the Religious Network Group”. Defines a network group and provides background information. Describes the evolution of such groups from entities which were at first viewed skeptically by their respective corporations to entities which were eventually supported and even encouraged by these corporations. Notes that all was well with network groups (whether composed of a racial minority or a homosexual membership) until Christian groups tried to establish their own groups. Addresses each of the objections to Christian groups, dismissing each in turn. Emphasizes that internal policy which discriminate against one type of network while encouraging the other can reflect negatively on the corporation. Bibliography lists 2
